Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (CCTG)

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (CCTG) is a lightweight, non-greasy emollient derived from coconut oil and glycerin.

• It enhances skin feel, improves product spreadability, and acts as a carrier oil for active ingredients and UV filters.
• Unlike heavy oils, CCTG is non-comedogenic, making it ideal for acne-prone and sensitive skin.
• Its excellent stability and compatibility with other oils, silicones, and esters make it a go-to ingredient in moisturizers, sunscreens, serums, conditioners, and cleansing oils.

Recommended Usage Percentage

• Typical range: 1% – 30% depending on application.

• Creams & Lotions: 3 – 15%

• Serums: 1 – 5%

• Cleansing Oils / Balms: 10 – 30%

• Hair Conditioners / Treatments: 2 – 10%

How to Use

• Oil Phase – Add to the oil phase of emulsions before emulsification.

• Cold or Hot Process – Stable to both heating and cold processing.

• Compatibility – Mixes easily with other oils, esters, silicones, and UV filters.

• Processing Note – Avoid excessive heating (>75°C) to prevent breakdown.
