Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (GHTC)

Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (GHTC) is a cationic, water-soluble conditioning polymer derived from guar gum.

• It is widely used in shampoos, conditioners, and body washes to deliver superior conditioning, improved combability, reduced static, and a silky-smooth after-feel.
• In addition to enhancing viscosity and foam stability, it also acts as a deposition aid, allowing oils, proteins, and silicones to adhere more effectively to hair and skin.

Usage Percentage:

• Shampoos: 0.1 – 0.5%

• Conditioners: 0.2 – 1%

• Body Washes & Shower Gels: 0.1 – 0.3%

• Creams & Lotions: 0.1 – 0.5%

How to Use:

• Pre-disperse in water under slow stirring to avoid clumping.

• Add to cold or warm water phase before surfactants.

• Hydrates best at room temperature to 40°C.

• Combine with surfactants (SLES, CAPB, Decyl Glucoside, etc.) for conditioning wash-off products.

Available in 50g, 100g, 250g, 500g, 1kg and 5kg
