Salicylic Acid Powder is a powerful BHA exfoliant widely used in skincare.

Usage Percentage

• Leave-on skincare (serums, creams, toners): 0.5 – 2%

• Rinse-off products (cleansers, shampoos, scrubs): 2 – 3%

• Specialty/dermatological use (wart, callus treatments): Up to 40% (OTC, regulated use).

How to Use

• Requires pre-dissolution in solvents such as ethanol, propylene glycol, or butylene glycol before incorporation into formulas.

• Works best in acidic formulations (pH 3.0 – 4.5) to remain active.

• Avoid adding to high-pH formulations as it loses efficacy.

Caution while formulating

• Must be formulated at acidic pH (3–4.5) for efficacy.

• Can cause dryness or irritation in sensitive skin at higher concentrations.
