Polyquaternium 7 (PQ 7)

Polyquaternium-7 (PQ7 )is a cationic conditioning polymer used in both haircare and skincare. 

• Provides silky softness, hydration, and anti-static benefits.
• Highly compatible with anionic surfactants, it improves the mildness of cleansing systems while delivering a luxurious after-feel.
• In haircare, it enhances detangling, shine, and smoothness without buildup, while in skincare it acts as a film-former that locks in moisture.
• Ideal for shampoos, conditioners, body washes, lotions, and styling products.

Usage Percentage

Typical dosage: 0.5 – 5%

• Shampoos & body washes: 0.5 – 2%

• Conditioners & hair serums: 1 – 5%

• Lotions & creams: 0.5 – 2%

How to Use

• Add to the water phase or after emulsification at room temperature.

• Stable in both rinse-off and leave-on formulations.

• Compatible with anionic, cationic, and nonionic surfactants.
